Parikrama

Parikrama of a Dham (sacred place) with ISKCON devotees that includes Krishna kirtanas, prasadam, sankirtan, games, and full of Krishna consciousness can be a truly transformative experience for many devotees. Parikrama involves circumambulating (walking around) the holy place, visiting various sacred sites, and performing devotional activities along the way.
The chanting of Krishna kirtanas and sankirtan during parikrama can create a powerful devotional atmosphere and help one develop a deeper connection with the divine. It also provides an opportunity to visit and offer obeisance at various sacred sites associated with Lord Krishna or other deities, and gain spiritual merit by performing devotional activities such as offering flowers or lighting incense.
The distribution and consumption of prasadam during parikrama can also help purify the mind and body and strengthen the devotional bond with Lord Krishna. The games and activities conducted during the parikrama can also be a fun way to engage in devotional service and build a sense of community and camaraderie among the devotees.
Overall, parikrama with ISKCON devotees can be an enriching and spiritually uplifting experience, allowing one to deepen their spiritual practice and connect with a community of like-minded devotees. It’s important to note, however, that parikrama can be physically demanding, and devotees should be prepared to walk long distances and be in good health to fully enjoy the experience.
