Vrindavan
Tour Details
Vrindavan
Vrindavan is the supremely sacred abode where Sri Radha-Madhava
performed Their infinite sweet pastimes. This land is especially revered by Sri Chaitanya
Mahaprabhu, as every element here-trees, groves, rivers, and even the dust-is immersed in
divine love for Krishna. Especially at places like Nidhivan and Seva Kunj, the Lord enacted His
divine Rasa-lila with the gopis. Vrindavan drowns devotees in the sweet moods of Rasaraj
Madhava and takes them to the deepest depths of devotional mellows.
Gokul
Gokul is the auspicious land where Lord Krishna, after His birth, spent His
enchanting childhood in the loving care of Mother Yashoda and Nanda Maharaja. Here He
performed many childhood pastimes-stealing butter, playing with friends, slaying demons
like Putana and Shakatasura. The lanes of Gokul still echo with these divine events, where
Krishna, with His innocence, won the hearts of all the residents of Braj.
Mathura
Mathura is the glorious city where Lord Krishna appeared in human form in
the prison of Kamsa. This place symbolizes the Lord's divine compassion and His mission
to establish dharma. The birthplace of Krishna in Mathura is a sacred pilgrimage site for
devotees, who become emotionally absorbed in remembering His appearance pastimes.
It is from here that Krishna began the destruction of evil and the restoration of righteousness
Nandgaon
Nandgaon is the serene and beautiful village where Nanda Maharaja
resided. Krishna performed many of His youthful pastimes here—herding cows, playing
with cowherd boys, and secretly meeting Srimati Radharani. This place especially represents
that phase when Krishna would go to Vrindavan for Rasa-lila and return to Nandgaon, yet
His heart always remained absorbed in Radha. Nandgaon expresses the Lord's intimate
emotional pastimes.
Barsana
Barsana, the birthplace of Srimati Radharani, represents the highest pinnacle
of divine love between Radha and Krishna. The famous Lathmar Holi and festivals of colors
here are glimpses of Their playful and intimate pastimes. The groves and narrow lanes of
Barsana still resound with the name of Radha, carrying devotees into a state of self-forgetful
divine love. It is the ultimate center of prema and sweetness.
Govardhan
Govardhan Hill is the miraculous mountain lifted by Krishna on His little
finger for seven days to protect His devotees. This pastime glorified Govardhan as the most
beloved servant of the Lord. Circumambulating Govardhan is considered highly auspicious
and a powerful path for purification among Vaishnavas. This mountain is known as Haridas
Varya-the topmost servant of Hari
